Today, Xie Qing, President of the China Knitting Industry Association, along with Vice President Li Hong and Dong Weiwei, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department, visited IMB for a guidance tour. Chen Xinhua, Chairman of IMB, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and accompanied them throughout the visit.
Accompanied by Chairman Chen, President Xie Qing and his delegation toured IMB’s production workshops, focusing on an immersive demonstration of intelligent sewing. On the production line, rows of finished machines stood ready for shipment. For traditionally labor-intensive processes such as pocket attachment, pocket opening, and pocket edge sewing, IMB’s automated sewing units demonstrated significant technical advantages. During the visit, President Xie Qing and his delegation paused to observe the 1102G automated no-pressing hoodie bagging machine: Simply by precisely positioning the garment pieces, the equipment can seamlessly and continuously complete the entire process—including folding, feeding, sewing, bar tacking, and material collection—through preset programs. Without the need for heat pressing, the machine completes the task in a single pass using cold-folding dies. This process is 10 times more efficient than traditional manual sewing, maintains a stable yield rate of over 99%, and achieves sewing results with uniform stitching and precise needle placement.
During the discussion, Chairman Chen reported on the company’s recent achievements in the field of intelligent sewing, clearly outlining operational results, business breakthroughs, and key developments in the domestic market, while also detailing IMB’s overseas market share and global business strategy. Currently, IMB’s portfolio of over 200 machine models enables flexible adaptation and efficient integration across various industries and production scenarios. This allows the company to respond precisely to rapid market changes, fully meet today’s diverse, personalized, and high-quality consumer demands, as well as flexible production requirements, and provide customers with more comprehensive and competitive total solutions.
Chairman Xie Qing expressed his full recognition of IMB’s deep commitment, technological innovation, and practical breakthroughs in the field of intelligent sewing. He noted that by closely aligning with customer order requirements, IMB has achieved the digital and intelligent transformation of its machines. This not only effectively addresses industry pain points such as “labor shortages, low efficiency, and inconsistent quality” but also lays a solid foundation for quality in brand upgrades. He expressed his hope that IMB will continue to deepen its focus on technological innovation to support Chinese apparel brands.
