The Changzhou Garment Industry Association Successfully Held Its 2025 Annual (Enlarged) Presidents' Meeting and On-Site Enterprise Exchange at Changzhou Zhigu

On November 8, 2025, the Changzhou Garment Industry Association convened its 2025 Annual (Expanded) Presidents’ Meeting and On-Site Corporate Exchange at Changzhou Zhigu Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd. The Association’s Chief Honorary President Zhang Wenchang, President Li Haijiao, as well as vice presidents, advisors, supervisors, and directors gathered together. Through factory tours, exhibition hall visits, and conference discussions, they explored new paths for industry development and jointly mapped out a new blueprint for the high-quality development of Changzhou’s apparel industry. The meeting was chaired by Jing Xiaoyan, Secretary-General of the Association.

At the outset of the meeting, Chen Xinhua, Chairman of Zhigu Electromechanical, extended a warm welcome to the attending leaders and colleagues. He provided a comprehensive overview of the company, covering its development history, core business operations, and future plans. Subsequently, led by Chairman Chen, all participants embarked on an “on-site tour,” visiting the smart manufacturing plant and the corporate exhibition hall to experience the charm of intelligent sewing firsthand.

Upon entering the workshop, the modern production scene immediately caught the eye. Everyone went deep into the front lines of the production workshop to observe firsthand the modern production lines, advanced manufacturing processes, and rigorous quality inspection procedures. IMB’s remarkable achievements in intelligent manufacturing, lean management, product innovation, and international expansion left a deep impression on everyone. As attendees walked, observed, listened, and asked questions, they gained a more intuitive understanding of the “secret” behind IMB’s ability to maintain a leading edge in the fiercely competitive market.

In the exhibition hall, attendees gained a systematic understanding of the company’s development history and innovative achievements through machine operation demonstrations, interactive displays, and physical product exhibits. From the company’s history marked by intelligent transformation to the vision wall depicting the future landscape of smart manufacturing; from the patent displays showcasing accumulated technological achievements to the R&D zone brimming with the momentum of cutting-edge exploration—every detail precisely interpreted the essence of smart manufacturing and fully demonstrated IMB’s confidence in its deep commitment to the field.

Following the on-site tour, the event moved into a conference and discussion session. Attendees actively shared their companies’ practical experiences and insights regarding market expansion, brand building, technological R&D, and management innovation. Sparks of ideas flew as the atmosphere remained warm and dynamic.

Association President Li Haijiao systematically reviewed the Association’s achievements in 2025 regarding building bridges between government and enterprises, promoting university-enterprise collaboration, and assisting enterprises in reducing costs and improving efficiency. He noted that this meeting served not only as a summary and planning session for the year’s work but also as a grand gathering to build industry consensus and stimulate innovation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Zhang Wenchang, the Association’s Chief Honorary President, delivered closing remarks. He noted that the combination of this (enlarged) presidents’ meeting with on-site exchanges had unified thinking and clarified the direction forward. He further emphasized that the Changzhou apparel industry must adhere to open cooperation and collaborative innovation, embrace change more proactively, engage in innovation more actively, and seek partnerships with greater openness. The Association will continue to serve as a platform and bridge, integrating resources from all parties to empower enterprises. By working hand in hand, we will jointly address challenges, seize development opportunities, and continuously enhance the comprehensive competitiveness and brand influence of the Changzhou apparel industry, collectively writing a glorious chapter in the high-quality development of the sector.
