The 2024 Enlarged Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Jiangsu Garment Industry Association was successfully held at Changzhou Zhigu.

On January 9, the 2024 Enlarged Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Jiangsu Sewing Equipment Industry Association was held at Changzhou Zhigu. More than 20 attendees, including Zhou Ping, Chairman of the Provincial Association; Li Shusheng, Secretary-General; and leaders from major enterprises in Jiangsu, participated in the meeting, which was chaired by Zhou Ping.

Chen Xinhua, Chairman of Changzhou Zhigu Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd., first extended a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the attending leaders and guests. He provided an in-depth account of the company’s development over the past decade, highlighting its success in helping numerous clients reduce labor costs through intelligent upgrades and digital transformation. He also stated that over the next five years, the company plans to expand into markets such as heavy-duty fabrics, luggage, and the automotive sector. As of the end of last year, the company had expanded into more than 40 overseas markets, achieving significant success in its international operations.

The meeting heard a report titled “Uniting Our Strengths and Pragmatically Promoting the Development of New-Quality Productive Forces in the Industry” delivered by Chairman Zhou Ping. The report summarized the provincial association’s key work in recent years, analyzed the industry’s economic performance in 2024, and highly commended the outstanding achievements made by Jiangsu-based enterprises in technological innovation, quality improvement and efficiency enhancement, as well as transformation and upgrading.

The meeting approved the nominations for the principal leadership of the Second Council and reviewed and adopted the report on the organizational structure and operational model of the Second Council Secretariat. Secretary-General Li Shusheng summarized the meeting, affirming its achievements. He emphasized the importance of building a platform for industry exchange, noting that through communication and sharing, the meeting had broadened enterprises’ development perspectives and strengthened industry cohesion.

During the meeting, participating enterprise representatives toured the smart manufacturing facility at Changzhou Zhigu and exchanged views on their respective corporate development and industry trends.
