A Visit to Tonglu This Early Summer | A Look Back at the IMB Team-Building Event

  In late spring and early summer, the mountains were bathed in green and the trees were lush and vibrant. To strengthen team cohesion and foster communication and interaction among employees, the company organized a three-day, two-night team-building trip to Tonglu.

  At 7:00 a.m. on May 19, all employees gathered and boarded four tour buses. Filled with anticipation and laughter, they set off for Tonglu.

  1. Fuchun River “Little Three Gorges” — Yan Ziling’s Fishing Platform Afternoon of May 19

  For our first stop, we boarded a cruise ship to explore the [Fuchun River’s Little Three Gorges—Yan Ziling’s Fishing Platform], one of China’s three major scenic landscapes renowned for its “extraordinary mountains and waters, unmatched under heaven.” Here, we experienced the beauty praised by Su Dongpo in his verse: “Having traversed the Three Wu regions and seen a thousand mountains and rivers, I still say that the scenery of Tonglu is the most beautiful.”

  At this time, the Fuchun River is bathed in a gentle, warm breeze; the air is crisp and the wind soft; the mountains are green, the waters blue, the sky high, and the clouds light—truly the perfect season for a team-building outing.

  2. Yaolin Fairyland Morning of May 20

  On the morning of May 20, our second stop was the [Yaolin Fairyland] scenic area. We marveled at the magnificent and diverse stalactite formations, explored the mysteries of karst landforms dating back hundreds of millions of years, and experienced the wonders of the underground world. The cave’s masterful craftsmanship and breathtaking beauty left everyone in awe of nature.

  3. Tianzi Di Scenic Area May 20, Afternoon

  After lunch, we drove to our third stop, the 【Tianzi Di Scenic Area】. We boarded the “Flying Magic Carpet” to experience the thrill of “ascending to the heavens in a single step.” As the magic carpet rose slowly, we looked out to take in the breathtaking scenery—truly a magnificent sight. Along the way, everyone checked in at major Instagram-worthy attractions: the “Purple Water Lily” installation, the heart-pounding “Walking on Thin Ice” path, and the breathtaking “Mirror of the Sky.” Finally, we passed through a vertical shaft-style cave to reach the most anticipated attraction—the Zilong Gorge high-altitude rafting. Fully equipped with raincoats, we boarded the rafts to enjoy the thrill of speed and excitement—it was incredibly thrilling and exhilarating!

  4. Daqi Mountain Forest Park May 21, Morning

  On the morning of May 21, our final stop was Daqi Mountain Forest Park, known as a “natural oxygen bar.” We passed through bamboo groves to begin our hiking journey. Along the way, everyone was full of energy and enthusiasm. We trekked along mountain paths that were sometimes steep and sometimes winding. As we ventured deeper into the mountains, we encountered many delightful surprises: the chirping of insects and birds, the gurgling of streams, and the fresh mountain air. We breathed it all in, admired the beautiful scenery, and left all our worries behind.

  Over the course of these brief three days, we journeyed from Yan Ziling’s Fishing Platform on the banks of the Fuchun River, to the fairyland of Yaolin, to Tianzi Di, and finally to Daqishan Forest Park. Though our schedule was tight, we took in the sights along the way—everywhere was full of surprises and beauty, making it hard to tear ourselves away.

  Throughout the team-building event, everyone was full of enthusiasm and fully engaged, creating many hilarious moments. This outing not only provided an opportunity for everyone to relax completely but also allowed us to experience the joy of a harmonious team while fully enjoying the beauty of nature, strengthening communication and understanding between departments and among colleagues. These three days will remain an unforgettable and joyful memory for all IMB employees.
